punseye, in US adds web and gaming giant Tencent to list of Chinese military companies

Lol pretty much every American company should be added to a similar list given how deep they are in the pockets of CIA, etc

Bronzebeard, in US adds web and gaming giant Tencent to list of Chinese military companies

They gonna force a sale of League of Legends now?

BombOmOm, in Lenovo Officially Announces The Legion Go S Handheld With SteamOS
@BombOmOm@lemmy.world avatar

Glad to see more handhelds picking up Steam OS! So many portable competitors have been hampered by their OS sucking down limited resources while providing an inferior UI and UX.

Glares at Armor Crate

KinglyWeevil,

I have it for fan/led management on my pc and it has so much potential, but overall is just so bad and has so little support.

echodot, in The Internet Is Worse Than a Brainwashing Machine

Have they actually tried a brainwashing machine because I feel like a dedicated device would be more efficient.

kandoh, in Meta is ending its fact-checking program in favor of a 'community notes' system similar to X

Just doing what their elderly conservative user base demands.

Flaqueman, in AI unveils strange chip designs, while discovering new functionalities

See? I want this kind of AI. Not a word dreaming algorithm that spews misinformation

Dkarma,

This is what most all ai is. Gpt models are a tiny subsect.

db2,

Subset

prex,

You are correct but I like subsect better.

db2,

I like the subtlety of it tbh.

fl42v,

Idk, kinda the same, but instead of misinformation we get ICs that release a cloud of smoke in a shape of a cat when presented with specific pattern of inputs (or smth equally batshit crazy)

brlemworld,

I want AI that takes a foreign language movie, and augments their face and mouth so it looks like they are speaking my language, and also changes their voice (not a voice over) to be in my language.

werefreeatlast, in Solidigm pulls out of consumer SSD market with discontinuation of drives

I just discontinued all my SSD consumer market lineup my self! I understand. See you around Solidigm!

bitjunkie, in Dell kills the XPS brand

Why the fuck did it even take them that long? Alienware acquisition was in 2006.

tabular, in Meta Now Lets Users Say Gay and Trans People Have 'Mental Illness'

People are free to out themselves as ignorant on Meta. Technology is getting crazy.

db2, in Meta Now Lets Users Say Gay and Trans People Have 'Mental Illness'

What I want to know is who thought it was a good idea to give the kid who ate rocks at recess for attention an international platform. Hmm?

ZoDoneRightNow, in Meta Now Lets Users Say Gay and Trans People Have 'Mental Illness'

I left facebook after years of having meta not do anything about blatant transphobia and ableism that I reported to them. I got a death threat late last year and that was the final straw for me
